back in waikiki
December 23rd, 2007After a seven day cruise in the islands of Hawaii and sailing in the ocean, we are back on shore in Waikiki for another night before heading to LA for Christmas.
My, where do I begin? We had such a great time in the islands - Hilo, Kona, Maui and Kauai and honestly, all these islands don’t have shopping options like Waikiki or Honolulu but if you are looking for artistic and gifts with a difference, then the shops in the villages would be excellent, especially Kona, the Big Island.
Just when I thought Kauai is so quaint and limited in the shopping offers, I was told you could find Wal Mart and K Mart stores. For those of you who are familiar with these two big names, you know you can find practically anything in these stores from stereo cabinet to kids’ apparel to household items! But for me who is petite and little, I couldn’t find anything that fit me!
Back in Waikiki, I have few more hours to shop before leaving this beautiful island… I’m still deciding if I should splurge on a LV bag… it’s hard to decide - oh dear, am I feeling guilty here?
