It turns out, it’s not just you. According to this study done by researchers at the University of Missouri-Columbia women of thin modelsall shapes and sizes feel bad when they see pictures of attractive models.

In this study, 81 women were asked questions about themselves and how they felt about their bodies. Then subgroups were made to look at either average looking people or models in magazines. Not surprisingly, the women who looked at the models reported lower scores than the ones who didn’t. But the interesting thing was that all women, no matter what they looked like, reported a drop in self satisfaction after seeing pictures of models. It had been previously believed that women with lower self body images would be particularly susceptible to the model effect, but in reality all women were.
