Maria Sharapova?s Wimbledon 2008 Nike Tuxedo-Inspired Dress!
July 22nd, 2008Recently at the French Open, Maria Sharapova wore a custom-designed dress by Nike. This has been the case at other Opens such as the Australian Open and Wimbledon Tournament. The dress has been inspired by the 1920s. Maria who is also known as Masha amongst her fans, also seen wearing a pair of Tiffany’s & Co earrings to the court. How nice being a tennis star and have a pretty face to boot. She has the most-wanted tight body and can easily wear body-fit bikini during the summer. She’s really the envy of many women!
Usually, the world’s wealthiest women’s tennis player and the beautiful 21-year old, who won Wimbledon 4 years ago, has taken a liking to wearing dresses on court. Two years ago, at the U.S. Open, Sharapova delighted her fans by donning a sports dress inspired by Audrey Hepburn in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”. Last year at Wimbledon, she wowed fashion critics yet again with her famous by now Swan Dress - a Nike tiered dress with swan-style ruffles Sharapova’s swan-inspired dress on the back, reminiscent of an elegant pair of wings. Fans, especially males, are disappointed to find that their favorite tennis female star Maria Sharapova has traded in her short skirts for shorts during this year’s Wimbledon Championships. The warm up sessions of Sharapova will take place in a hand-made trouser suit inspired by man’s formal tuxedo. For the main game, she will strip down to shorts paired with a sleeveless top. Providing finishing touch to her look will be a pair of Tiffany platinum earrings worth 2,500 pound ($5,000).
This year at Wimbledon, Maria Sharapova paid respect to England’s tailoring tradition, by sporting a custom-made Nike white tuxedo, in which she will warm up. She will then change into a short suit, with tuxedo bib front for games, all designed with upmost attention to performance.
