The Jurlique Lavender Silk Finishing Powder is a silky transluscent facial powder that helps to refine the complexion and helps cut down unwanted shine. I would dust some on my face after applying my mineral foundation to provide a matte and smooth finish. The lavender scent was indeed calming and the powder helped to reduce oily shine on my t-zone area in the mid day. On the first few usages, I found it hard to get the powder out of the jar. As such, I needed to dab a few times to get an even coverage. The holes in the canister were kinda tiny which might be good if you are traveling. That would prevent too much excess powder from filling the canister. On days where I don’t feel like buffing mineral foundation on my face, the silk finishing powder may be good to brighten up my face complexion, except that it won’t cover any flaws or imperfections.
