According to one of my fave sites, Cosmeticsdesign.com, there’s a new term that describes men who are “outside of the traditional brackets” when it comes to using personal care products.

“Ubersexual man” refers to men who are “more complex, more thoughtful, more culinary and better groomed than the macho man, but more traditionally masculine than the metrosexual.” An Ubersexual man is likely to use anti-wrinkle creams, bronzing products and toning gels along with his shaving foam, hair gel, and deodorant.

The article suggests that stars like David Beckham and Brad Pitt are making it more socially acceptable for men to embrace a more feminine lifestyle. I’m not exactly sure what that means, because I don’t consider either of those gentlemen to be very feminine!

But this much is true - I am seeing more and more beauty products marketed toward men. What do you think, Beauty Brainiacs? Do you have any Ubersexuals in your life?
