19 year old Miss Michigan, Kirsten Haglund has become the winner of 2008 Miss America beauty pageant. the revamped makeover pageant was broadcast live on TLC with an audience of 7000 fans from the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Kirsten Haglund was born in Farmington Hills, Michigan on November 30, 1989. She is age 19. An aspiring Broadway star, she studies music at the University of Cincinnati. For her win, she gets $50,000 scholarship money. Haglund claimed 2007 Miss Michigan honors last June in Muskegon. She entered that pageant as Miss Oakland County and won a $10,000 scholarship.
