British Sea Power - Do You Like Rock Music - Album Review

British Sea Power - Do You Like Rock Music - Album Review

Do you like rock music? British Sea Power certainly do. The Brighton foursome have released their third album, but is it any good?

Similar to their last two albums, the band have produced a quirky album which is easy to get into and has an almost ethereal sound to it. Current single Waving Flags is a particular standpoint, with its hypnotic drum beats, soothiing vocals and well-thought out lyrics. Lights out for Darker Skies is a rocking track with loud shredding guitars, whilst Atom bounces around madly and is probably the most lively song on the album.

your relocation resource

January 30th, 2008

It can be tempting to acquire about California real estate during our stay in Los Angeles. I enjoy the beautiful parks and greenery though the locals are telling me that LA is a ‘desert’ region. Over the years, real estate in the region has escalated and there are more homes being built everyday.

After hanging around in Orange County for almost two weeks for the second time, I can see that Clayton is liking the space in the pleasant surroundings. A chat with a real estate agent brought about useful information of where are the popular areas to live for people who are relocating. One of the convenient ways to find a house to rent or purchase is via NationalLocation.com where your search is made easy with the user-friendly features. Along with search features, you can read articles on relocatio, find out more about mortgages, loans..etc.

be savvy at thefind dot com

January 30th, 2008

With thanks to the internet and search engine technology, shoppers are becoming savvy these days. Why not learn from other users and their reviews before buying an item, whether be apparel, shoes, bags, electronic goods, household items, automobiles, skincare, beauty products, toys…etc?

be savvy at thefind dot com

I can’t shake off my passion for bags and shoes, it’s really hard to resist them. So it’s always refreshing to come across new items in the web and better still, learn about where you can find them at lower prices. After all, who doesn’t like to save on shopping?  Though I’ve never owned a Fendi bag, I have seen many women with a Fendi hobo bag on the streets on Singapore. With no idea of the average price of the bag, thefind dot com provides the right information and product ranking to help you make better shopping decisions. I was about the Fendi spy bag after reading about it in the women magazine and a search in the thefind brings me to a full ‘catalog’ of the bag. Or if you are keen on the Fendi tote, it’s useful to first read about the details and reviews of the item before splurging on it. The feature I like best at thefind dot com is that it actually advises the shopper the average price you can expect to pay for an item so you don’t need to wonder and ask around in the shops which can be time consuming and troublesome. Plus, you can be notified of where to buy your favourite items at sale prices too.

trendy pre-packed diaper bags

January 30th, 2008

I gotta tell you that this is a fabulous idea. Many of us are used to seeing nice, cute, pretty, elegant, artistic, sassy, trendy diaper or mommy bags being sold in retail and online stores. But most of time, we buy these bags empty, do we? What I’m saying is that why aren’t there pre-packed diaper bags for sale? In other words, we can buy these diaper bags with all the baby essentials in the bag so that we don’t need to worry about forgetting the rattle during meal times, a bib, a sun hat or travel wipes?

Well, there is one such pre-packed diaper bag with 10 items, also known as BabyBeReady Diaper Bag Survival Kit. This idea was conceptualized by BabyDish Founder, Stacie Jordan who sees the niche and launched these pre-packed diaper bags with huge success. For those who still prefer to buy it empty or use it as a carry-all bag, you can still get it at $40 and the pre-packed version at $99. Here are some from BabyDish collection (babydish.com):

peaches n cream from Mineralogie

peaches n cream from Mineralogie

Well, this was meant to be an eye shadow colour from the label of the packaging but since mineral makeup is versatile, I thought it would be a nice shade of a glow on my cheeks and it really did!

peaches n cream from Mineralogie

This Peaches n Cream eye colour from Mineralogie is a lovely light coral shade that has a beautiful light shimmer when applied on the eye lids or the face. I got adventurous and use my flawless face brush from Erth Minerals to dust some on my cheeks as a highlight and the natural healthy glow was perfect me. Katie sent me 2 other shades - Sunkissed and Mink which I believe will blend well with Peaches n Cream. From the information on the website, the “Ultra-fine Mineral Eye Shadow glides on effortlessly and feels as good as it looks. Rich, radiant color stays where you put it until you take it off. As versatile as they are long lasting, Mineral Eye Shadow comes in a variety of matte colors derived from the earth.”

the cool Automoblox

the cool Automoblox

This must be one cool toy car Clayton got for Christmas from Auntie Velma. The Automoblox was a popular gift idea last Christmas and I heard that they were flying off the shelves, all thanks to the whole list of benefits of the toy car. I like the design, finish and the creative concept behind the Automoblox. It actually helps to stimulate little minds in creative problem solving, improve their fine motor skills and develop their visual motor integration skills - wow!

Kala Malam Bulan Mengambang, Karya Istimewa dan Penuh Artistik dari Mamat Khalid

January 24th, 2008

Coming out with a noir film in a society that is still having trouble to understand its own film identity is simply out of this world. I have full respect for Mamat Khalid in producing this movie. The movie has been in the cinema for a little over a week and it’s really interesting the way it’s being laid out and Mamat Khalid’s story-telling and characterisation proves that he’s no ordinary director and producer. His deep understanding of noir elements and expressionism are pretty obvious and up there with those from Hollywood. In fact I think they should invite him on board for Godfather 5.

Famous for his good look and Aussie’s accent, Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday of a possible drug overdose in his apartment in Soho, New York city. Ledger was 28. Ledger was found naked and unresponsive, facedown on the floor at the foot of his bed by a housekeeper trying to wake him for an appointment with a masseuse, said police spokesman Paul Browne.
