Oh yes, I love beauty and fashion but seriously, I don’t think I can ever take this on as a career! I know of many women who do and if that’s what you are keen to do, then it’s time to start checking out this job search engine that allows you to find spa jobs and beauty-related jobs for FREE. Basically, you can treat this like place to SHOP for a job since it seeks to connect job seekers to beauty salons, spas, cosmetic clinics and more.
When it comes to beauty salons, many individuals automatically say ‘but, I don’t know how to cut hair.’ Yes, having hair care experience is likely to up your chances of being hired by a beauty salon, but not always. Unfortunately, many individuals mistakenly believe that beauty salons only focus on hair care, but this is not true. Those types of establishments are ones that are often referred to as hair care salons, not necessarily beauty salons. At a beauty salon, you can find a wide range of tasks performed, including clerical tasks, spray on tans, hair care, makeup application, and nail care. What does this mean for you? This means that if you are interested in working in a beauty salon, there are a number of different tasks that you can perform. So does this get you thinking now?

Since I’ve shared with you the beautiful organic baby clothing collection at ScKoon, I’ll like to tell you more about ScKoon’s Organic Cotton Cloth Menstrual/Postpartum Pads. Unlike all the disposable pads on the pharmacy shelves which contain dioxin and other bleaching residues, these Sckoon Organic Cotton Cloth Menstrual/Postpartum Pads are chemical free, naturally dyed and made of 100% certified Egyptian organic cotton. What is great is it is breathable, contains no irritant and cost saving!
So why choose Organic Cotton Cloth Menstrual/Postpartum Pads?
It is reported that many chemicals including dioxin are found in almost every brand of menstrual pads and tampons. Dioxin is a known carcinogen and has been linked to cervical cancer, breast cancer, endometriosis, and immune system suppression. In addition, the plastic and glue backing on disposable pads reduces air circulation and creates a stagnant environment in which some bacteria thrive. This can cause vaginal irritation and yeast infection.

I used to collect charm bracelets and always regard them as nice gifts or keepsakes that will last. Charms can be so sweet when they hang on your wrist and evoke fun and that touch of ‘girlish’ characteristics in every woman.
These creative ones from Mau Studio are stuff that make you wanna buy straight away to match a weekend outfit, a sun dress or a pair of designer jeans. Made of glass beads and swarovski crystals, each piece is uniquely created with a distinctive style of its own. If bracelets are not your kind, there are necklaces, rings and earrings to choose from too.

Now, the male readers in this blog can’t complain that they are left out and forgotten!
The fact that Bethany Shorb is a graduate of Cranbrook Academy of Art brings me much envy and admiration. This is one design school I’ve heard so much about in the 90s when I was doing my MA in graphic design. Bethany is not just only a fashion and graphic designer but she’s a photographer, multimedia designer and performing artist.
With her creative profile and strong influence at Cranbrook, her collection of ties spell art, sophistication, classical influence and evoke originality.

We women will never get enough of handbags, do we? Tote, carry on, sling, shoulder bag, clutch, evening, messenger, hobo, formal, casual, file tote, document…etc, we need different styles for different occasions. Why is it so hard to make our man understand this?

I
f you are looking to add one more to your collection, check out the designer handbag collection at Bolzano, a luxury brand that can be found in many parts of the world including Europe, Asia, Central and South America. I’m not sure if any of you ladies are facing this same problem. It hasn’t been easy buying a nice leather belt these days if you are a Size 6 or 8. The problem with these belts is the tongue is often left hanging after you tuck it through the loops and it can be odd looking.

After hunting around for months for a nice leather belt, I haven’t had much success. I spotted a cool TODs horseshoe buckle belt few months ago but it was too thick to pass through the standard loops in most pants and jeans. Then I popped by my favourite Mulberry store in Singapore and found this beautiful plaited leather belt but there wasn’t any size 34 at that time. I managed to see it a net-a-porter.com and it is selling at £83.98 (WAS: £139.96 - 40% OFF). It’s quite a splurge especially when I have had a huge shopping spree two months ago. Maybe I can find a cheaper alternative…. so the hunt for a nice and durable leather belt continues…
