let?s go online shopping for baby?s clothes

April 30th, 2008

It’s always great to hear about new baby arrivals and this morning at 1.30am, I got a text message that Baby Micah was born! I am so happy for our good friends that this is the beginning of a new journey for both of them. Actually, I can’t wait to do some baby clothes shopping online though the baby shower is not even planned yet!

let?s go online shopping for baby?s clothes

Shopping for Baby Clothes can be very fun and inspiring cos I love seeing the little trendy clothes for little tots. I have to say that the kids of this modern century are fortunate to have such wide selections of styles and designs. Laces and ruffles, polka dots and little fairies, pinkies and florets, you can find these at JoJo Designs, also known for its great discounts and savings when you shop online. Anyone who has the experience of shopping online can agree that it’s not cheap to shop for children’s clothing in the retail stores. Besides, retail stores may present a limited range of selections which also require one to travel from mall to mall to shop for the best. I do hope that JoJo Designs will add more boy’s clothing to its collection to provide customers a better shopping experience.

boots that last a lifetime

boots that last a lifetime

It is unlike my hubby to comment about my new shoes but this time, he did. He knew that it was my first pair of dressy shoes for the longest time and I had been secretive about the price of my discounted Loewe shoes. It took me a while to explain to him why women need different types of shoes and why they need various colours in their collection too.

Actually, what I would like to add to my current shoe collection one of these days would be a pair of knee high boots. Knee high boots can look gorgeous when paired with a sleek tunic dress or a little black dress, depending on the style and design. And when the time comes to shop for a pair of quality boots, I will not hesitate to check out Justin boots, which are known for its fine workmanship, quality and style. Boots can last for a lifetime if you care for them well and they are great when the weather dips during the cooler months. Cowboy boots, lacer boots or roper boots for women, men and kids, the best place to shop for your pair of Justin boots has to be none other than Boot City. So take your pick now and don’t miss the sale!

free samples, free stuff, savings and more!

April 30th, 2008

Whether you admit it or not, all of us are victims to advertisements and marketing promotions at one time or another. How often do we end up buying things we don’t need for the house or for ourselves? We are lured to new products, new breakthroughs and new discoveries. Sometimes, we ladies are accused by our husbands for overbuying and stocking things we don’t even need. We will then justify our buys with reasons that only we can understand. Sound familiar?

One of the ways to avoid buying products that don’t work for you is to first try out free samples of the product whenever possible. With new labels and brand names being added daily, we can get overwhelmed by product launches and introductions. MySavings.com was designed to help both consumers and advertisers in this respect. At MySavings.com, you can check out free product samples for your home and your personal needs. You can also request for free stuff from more than a dozen product categories from bath and beauty to home and garden to office supplies. These freebies are usually sponsored by companies as part of their marketing campaigns or promotional efforts, and not some junk or poor quality stuff.

onsen and japan

onsen and japan

So I’m throwing out my Sydney plans after DH had strong objections about it. We have finally agreed on a trip to Japan this autumn and that is certainly something I am looking forward to. For the last two days, I’ve been reading travel forum and finding out more about the land of the rising sun. My first trip to Tokyo was dated 1998 and at that time, I didn’t even have time to visit Mount Fuji.

The healing benefits of onsen in Japan have been widely known by locals, tourists and holiday makers. An onsen(??,onsen?) is a term for hot springs in the Japanese language though the term is often used describe the bathing facilities and inns around the hot springs. A volcanically active country, Japan has thousands of onsen scattered along its length and breadth. Onsen were traditionally used as public bathing places and today play a central role in directing Japanese domestic tourism.

i prefer designer sandals over designer dress shoes

April 20th, 2008

If I’m given a choice, I would rather invest in a pair of designer sandals than a pair of designer dress shoes. But where image is concerned, it’s not presentable to be clad in sandals when you are out of a business meeting. Your choice of shoes says alot about your professionalism and brand so don’t focus only on the clothing but neglect the covering for your feet.

snuggle up in comfort

April 20th, 2008

Snuggling in the coziness of a nice comforter can mean alot to your beauty sleep. I like high thread count cotton bedding as well as silk bedding and in fact, silk is the most alluring way to dress a bed. A comforter bedding should be soft, smooth, and responsive, lightly warm in creating for you a more restful, heavenly sleep. But perhaps you may prefer a Tommy Hilfiger All American Denim Comforter

21 The Movie on MIT Blackjack Team - Movie Review

April 20th, 2008

The Movie is about a group of MIT students who counted cards to win millions playing blackjack and beat the house in Vegas. The movie is based on Ben Mezrich’s best-selling nonfiction book “Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas for Millions,”.

Ben Campbell (played by Jim Sturgess and based on Jeffrey Ma ’94) is a most gifted student in MIT. But he got one problem, money for his education. Super math genius Ben Campbell originally joins the ring in order to come up with the $300,000 he needs for tuition money for medical school at Harvard University, but he’s also gaga over the ring’s resident babe, Jill (Kate Bosworth). The team was short of one member since “Jimmy got a job at Google”. What starts out as a plan to make $300,000 and quit soon transforms into an addiction to the game and lifestyle as Ben begins to ignore all of his rational thoughts, the skill that made him an asset in the first place. In the midst of backstabbing and back room brawls with the very scary Laurence Fishburne, the audience wonders whether Ben will be able to return the clear-headed guy he was or if Vegas will destroy him.
