One of the places I wanted to drop by in my last trip to Singapore was Fuchsia Lane which is known for their range of feminine engineered tops designed by the bubbly entrepreneur, Vivienne Lin.

I first learned about Fuchsia Lane’s creations after a write out by the local newspapers. The exclusive asian inspired tees and accessories appealed to me right away as I am always looking out for unique Asian styles. I contacted Vivienne and was supposed to visit her boutique at the Red Dot Design Museum but due to my tight travel schedule, I had to take a rain check. The good news is, you don’t even need to live or be in Singapore to appreciate and own Vivienne’s range of hand-sewn re-engineered tees. What would you choose for a 10th year anniversary gift, if presented with an option between a luxury cruise or a designer watch of any watch brand? Some side news before we delve into the details about the solemnisation of these two celebs.

This is exciting news for all of you adherent fans of reality tv. According to Variety, Lifetime TV has jumped onto the reality tv bandwagon and ordered 6 episodes of the reality competition “Blush: The Search For America’s Makeup Artist” which will launch in somtime in November. Variety describes it as a “potential companion” to Project Runway 6, which is scheduled to debut that same month. “Blush” will follow eight aspiring makeup mavens as they vie for the grand prize of a one-year contract as a professional makeup artist with Max Factor, $100,000 in cash and a shot at doing the makeup for a major glossy magazine cover shoot. The show will have a host, three judges, and a mentor and the contestants will all live together in Los Angeles. The network is also planning a spin-off that follows the shows models outside the workroom and runway, in addition to a docusoap set in Washington, D.C., that is modeled after The Hills. I am sure this is going to be a hit amongst the beauty-savvy gals and product junkies. I’m definitely going to be tuning into this show. I love to learn new makeup tips and tricks. Here in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, we are definitely not short of professional make up artists. The spin-off from this show is good. Astro or TV3?
