In a twinkle of an eye, we are already in the fourth month of the new year. Early this year, I set a few personal goals including taking up Pilates, learn swimming and go shopping less often!

Well, I have succeeded in these three goals so far and I’m determined to stick to them right to the end! Well, I still go shopping online for natural beauty goods, eco living clothing and jewelry but it’s just online window shopping for now. The economy hasn’t been that great so I’m cutting back on my shopping expenses now.

I know that the world of beauty is seldom affected by any financial setbacks as women will continue to spend on their looks no matter what. Yep, nothing is going to stop the women who set their minds to lose weight. So in bad times, diet pill business will continue to grow, so will beauty and cosmetics business.

Women are known to go shopping for anything and they enjoy it. The term ‘retail therapy’ is so appropriately used and I can personally identify with it.

Whenever I feel down and out, I like to go shopping and give my mind a break. I can be walking into my favourite stores or doing window shopping just to keep myself updated with what’s current. It’s nothing more than just gaining my sanity and getting out of that rut of a daily routine.

Sometimes I prefer to go shopping online instead of driving to a mall - there’s more liberty to that. Just the other day, I was shopping for a new mineral makeup and since I had heard raving reviews on Jane Iredale’s pure mineral concealer, that was the first item I looked up.
