Soyuz TMA-11 Rocket Launch in Baikonur, Kazakhstan.. Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor..
October 11th, 2007Preparations are hotting up at Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Soyuz TMA-11 space craft has just completed vacuum chamber testing. At the same time, NASA astronaut and Expedition 16 Commander Peggy Whitson, Soyuz Commander and Flight Engineer Yuri Malenchenko and Malaysian Spaceflight Participant Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor (I prefer to call him an Astronaut) have been busy preparing themselves for their Oct. 10, 2007 launch on the Soyuz TMA-11 spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS). We at Syokkahwin.com would like to be the main witness to this historic event. We will follow up Malaysia’s event of the year very closely with pictures from Kazakhstan, for the preparations, launching, in the space as well as the landing of Expedition 15 here. Expedition 16 Commander Peggy Whitson, Soyuz Commander and Flight Engineer Yuri Malenchenko, and Malaysian spaceflight participant Dr. Sheikh Muszhaphar Shukor will dock to the International Space Station on Oct. 12. Yurchikhin, Kotov and Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor will return to Earth on Oct. 21 in a Soyuz. The launch into space will be shown live on Malaysian local television at 9pm Malaysian time on Oct 10.
