the beauty of motherhood

the beauty of motherhood

I

I’ve never paid much attention to mommies and kiddies’ stuff until I became a mom myself. That’s pretty normal, I suppose. These days, anything to do with motherhood or kiddos, I’ll be all ears.

I have alot of admiration for momma artist (it must be the designer blood in me!) and this evening, I stumble upon another artist mom, who specializes in handmade jewelry with very special meaning. Each jewelry item at Blue Poppy symbolizes a message of love and you can read it in the description of every handmade piece. Among the Friendship necklace, Sisterhood necklace and Motherhood necklace, the last one stands out most. Not only do I appreciate the special design which symbolizes the love that exists between mothers and her children, it helps me remember how beautiful motherhood can be, especially when you can be overwhelmed by distractions, pressures and stresses of life.

the magical beauty of Kauai

the magical beauty of Kauai

When I heard that our Hawaii cruise is stopping by Kauai, I was thrilled. They say that Kauai is magical, blessed with moody rainforests, majestic cliffs, emerald valleys, jagged peaks, breezy palm trees, golden beaches and DAILY rainbows. Wow! Most importantly, it’s great for families with a lot to offer - watersports, rainforests trails, ocean cliffs hiking, biking and horseback riding.

Basically, it’s not a busy place so there is lots of room for pure relaxation. It sounds like a great island to get lazy, chill out, appreciate Mother Nature’s beauty and bathe in the gentleness of the sun. Hawaiian vacation information has some of the best Kauai vacation rentals you can find, with many that are oceanfront with views that take your breath away. Generally, the mountain view ones are cheaper compared to those with oceanfront ones so it’s really up to you. The site also has great options for Oahu vacation rentals if you are planning to head to this island too, being home to the infamous Waikiki beach. Oh… did I tell you I’m spending a week in Oahu

more than just aesthetic beauty

September 10th, 2007

There is much talk about plastic surgeries and beauty treatments among the 21st century women. If you are considering having liposuction done on your body then you need to take a few things into consideration first of all. I believe not every person is suitable for a particular plastic surgery so it’s best to consult an experienced plastic surgeon before deciding on a procedure, whether it’s rhinoplasty, tummy tuck or liposuction.

Sometimes, the results that you can achieve will depend on many different aspects, if you are 50 yrs of age or older then your results from liposuction may not be quite what you had expected. The fat in your body is just too deep to get out much of it successfully. If you are significantly overweight when you are thinking of having this done, then you may not like what you see when it is all over with. It will not be a miracle worker for weightloss purposes. You really need to be quite fit and already following a healthy diet in order to get the results you are hoping for. It is important to know all of these things before deciding to go through with it, so that you will be informed and your chances of having a successful surgery is greater.

Bullish About Beauty: L?Oreal Boosts Outlook as Net Rises 8.4%

September 8th, 2007

The French beauty giant seems poised to post its 23rd consecutive year of double-digit earnings per share growth in 2007, according to its chief executive officer Jean-Paul Agon. He also raised the company’s organic sales growth target range to 7 to 8 percent, from 6 to 8 percent, for the year — his first one fully at the helm.

Agon became L’Oréal’s ceo in April 2006. Since then, he has increasingly put his imprint on the job and how the company does business. His flexible, wide-ranging focus includes everything from emerging markets — such as China, India, Russia, Brazil and Mexico — to new avenues of growth in the masstige and “bio-organic” categories of products in its sights. There have also been recent acquisitions in the salon distributor category in the U.S. to help broaden the business.
