Wales is not a country known more for its opera singers and cheesy sixties crooners than its metal bands but Bullet For My Valentine seem to be the exception to the rule.
The band have just released their second album Scream Aim Fire. The eponymous title track is a good start, lots of shredding guitars, hectic drumming and vocals you can headbang to. The mood of the album changes slightly with Hearts Burn into Fire - it could almost be classed as a power ballad if it were a little bit cheesier. End of Days is a favourite of mine and could possibly be a future single.

Well, this was meant to be an eye shadow colour from the label of the packaging but since mineral makeup is versatile, I thought it would be a nice shade of a glow on my cheeks and it really did!

This Peaches n Cream eye colour from Mineralogie is a lovely light coral shade that has a beautiful light shimmer when applied on the eye lids or the face. I got adventurous and use my flawless face brush from Erth Minerals to dust some on my cheeks as a highlight and the natural healthy glow was perfect me. Katie sent me 2 other shades - Sunkissed and Mink which I believe will blend well with Peaches n Cream. From the information on the website, the “Ultra-fine Mineral Eye Shadow glides on effortlessly and feels as good as it looks. Rich, radiant color stays where you put it until you take it off. As versatile as they are long lasting, Mineral Eye Shadow comes in a variety of matte colors derived from the earth.”

The La Mer moisturizing gel cream is one of my favourite moisturizer for now. Being a user of the creme de La Mer, I can tell the difference right away on the first application.
While I was in Hawaii and LA, I was toggling between the La Mer Moisturizing Lotion for the day and creme de La Mer for the night. The weather in Hawaii is much less humid compared to Malaysia and Singapore but since I perspire easily under warm weather conditions, I prefer the La Mer moisturizing lotion over the creme for day use. I must say that the La Mer moisturizing lotion is nice and easy to use. It glides easily and smoothly on the skin and best of all, you only need a little pump to cover the entire face!

Veronica’s Very Concerned: Are eye creams really necessary? I’ve been using them for years, and I’m starting to wonder if they are really specially formulated for skin around the eyes. Why do I say so? Because I compared ingredients comparison between a face moisturizer (Olay Regenerist Deep H Read the rest of this entry »

While we had mentioned this in one of our Beauty Brains polls, we never discussed the full story. According to a study done by Consumer Reports, you are wasting your money if you buy expensive wrinkle reducing face creams. According to CR, there is no connection between price and effectiveness.Of Read the rest of this entry »
