While my research for our Hawaii vacation continues, I read from some reliable sources that Kauai has lots os tasteful boutiques that can satisfy a shopping freak like me. While I appreciate the thrill of unique finds and rare hunts, I know driving around in a car to explore this beautiful island is the best decision. Though I wish we can book ourselves with one of the luxurious Kauai vacation rentals, we may only have time for a day trip to the Poipu resort are and Na Pali coast since we have two nights booked in our cruise cabin.

When I heard that our Hawaii cruise is stopping by Kauai, I was thrilled. They say that Kauai is magical, blessed with moody rainforests, majestic cliffs, emerald valleys, jagged peaks, breezy palm trees, golden beaches and DAILY rainbows. Wow! Most importantly, it’s great for families with a lot to offer - watersports, rainforests trails, ocean cliffs hiking, biking and horseback riding.

Basically, it’s not a busy place so there is lots of room for pure relaxation. It sounds like a great island to get lazy, chill out, appreciate Mother Nature’s beauty and bathe in the gentleness of the sun. Generally, the mountain view ones are cheaper compared to those with oceanfront ones so it’s really up to you.
