It was hard to stop myself from visiting the All Dressed Up store last weekend since it was having a storewide discount of 30%. Not so long ago, I spotted a coral peach top that flattered my autumn-spring skintone. I didn’t buy it since I wasn’t sure if I was going to pay around $300 for a blouse, especially after doing my monthly budget with our new budgeting software. But since it was on sale in the store, I couldn’t resist trying it again.
Guess what? Instead of the coral peach top, I walked out of the shop with a muted gold wax linen skirt. I fell in love with the colour… it was just the right shade of gold and made a versatile piece of any occasion - dress it up or down - it’s all up to me

Fashion and style can be quite a personal thing. Ever tried shopping with a friend to realize that your taste and opinions don’t match? In other words, not every good friend is a good shopping companion cos tastes differ!
I tend to shop alone except on certain occasions. Getting the opinion of a friend is helpful at times but sometimes, I much prefer to make my own decisions and take my time to do my shopping picks. Jewelry, shoes or bags, I like a unique touch to the designs and sometimes my friends can find my taste a little too artistic and liberated. These days, medical id tags have been worn as jewelry so it will be interesting if jewelry designers can catch on the trend and apply their creativity onto the design of these medical tags. And who knows, perhaps a medical tag can as attractive and creative like this paisley necklace, combined with lovely tiny faceted peridot rondelles. Simple and stylish, it can be a good balance between form and function.

It seems to me that surfing with a laptop computer in Starbucks or a local cafe has become a lifestyle than a necessity. Somehow, having wi fi in cafes is almost a must if you want to compete or attract the new generation of teenagers, yuppies and even coffee drinkers. While being seen with a laptop computer is a cool thing, carrying a sleek and chic laptop case becomes a fashion statement too. I was in the computer mall a fortnight ago and the Golla laptop bags and cases stood out to me. To satisfy my curiosity, I check out the website and whoa, there are even more selections! This finnish label seems to be the favourite among the trendy, stylish individuals who like to be seen with a laptop on the streets.

What does fashion mean to you? Designer label, luxury, trends, contemporary. Or is it easy, comfy yet stylish, in the name of simplicity? To each his own, fashion is like this too. Some like it hot, some like it cold and some, a little bit of both. There is no right or wrong, no good or bad, no new or old but it’s about YOU. Every one should be free to define, to create and improvise. Be comfortable, be happy in whatever you choose and be Yourself - that’s what matters

This may be the dream bag for those who crave for ultimate craftsmanship and feminine luxury but when I was told that a basic medium bag will cost around S$3K, I almost fell off the chair. I am not doubting the quality nor am I saying it’s not worth every single cent cos we are talking about Bottega Veneta, the leader in luxury fashion best known for its signature leather goods, including handbags, luggage and leather wallets.

I was told that sunglasses, especially darker ones, help to create an air of mystery surrounding their owners. It is often difficult to carry on a conversation with a person wearing opaque shades. This mysterious, often intimidating look is a favorite for investigators, gaming players, and police officers. When someone cannot see your eyes, it is difficult for them to tell what you are thinking.

Thierry Henry is back in London. With minders, a precisely timed schedule, and a clothes range to launch.
Crowds jostle to get a glimpse as he models the Thierry Henry Capsule Collection in the window of the Regent Street Tommy Hilfiger store.
He certainly looks the part. Black kipper tie, white shirt long-sleeved shirt and grey suit from the Tommy Hilfiger range. Matched with an air of confidence and a genuine smile.
