shopping in the Hawaiian islands
December 22nd, 2007We are finally on the Pride of America sailing to the Hawaiian Islands. The first stop was Hilo, the Big Island and it was good that I had arrived with the mind to explore nature and nothing else.
Our visit to the Volcanoes National Park was fantastic though I wished I had a pair of Emu Australia boots with me. It was windy and rainy at Hilo especially when we were at the National Park. The litte souvenir shop had some nice things and information gifts regarding the active volcano like any other popular tourist spot.
I kinda enjoy the Mauna Loa Macadamia nut factory even though I had bought enough macadamias in Waikiki. Just don’t expect to see any shopping centres in Hilo, it is a sleep town with little action for the shoppers.
